Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

• Account info: Your name and email address when you register
• Resume and job content: Any resume or job description you upload
• Interview data: Your responses and session transcripts
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and session activity
• Payment info: Processed entirely by Stripe — we never store your card number
• Device and technical data: Browser type, IP address, and operating system

2. How We Use It

• To create and manage your account
• To generate personalized interview questions and performance analysis
• To process payments and manage your credit balance
• To send you account-related emails and, with your consent, promotional updates
• To improve the Service using aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
• To detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with the law

We do not use your personal resume content or interview responses to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the following service providers who help us operate MockPrep.ai:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Google — authentication and AI processing (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Anthropic — AI interview question generation (anthropic.com/privacy)
• OpenAI — voice interview processing when enabled (openai.com/policies/privacy-policy)
• Supabase — secure database hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and security standards. Part2AI Inc. is not liable for breaches or privacy violations that occur at the provider level.

We may also disclose your data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Part2AI Inc. or our users.

4. Data Retention

• Account and resume data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request
• Interview transcripts: Retained for 12 months then automatically deleted
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
• Usage analytics: Retained in anonymized form for up to 3 years

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, email team@mockprep.ai with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.

You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email or contacting us directly. Transactional emails required for account operation cannot be disabled.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data we collect and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the Service to function, analytics cookies to understand usage, and the Meta Pixel to measure advertising effectiveness. Non-essential cookies can be declined via the cookie banner when you first visit the site.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, hashed passwords, and role-based database access controls. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. Part2AI Inc. is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your own actions, including sharing credentials or using unsecured networks.

8. Children

MockPrep.ai is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at team@mockprep.ai and we will delete it immediately.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Part2AI Inc.'s total liability for any privacy-related claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for privacy violations caused by third-party service providers, each of which maintains its own security program and liability.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and by updating the effective date above. Continued use of MockPrep.ai after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.

11. ChatGPT plugin

When you use MockPrep inside ChatGPT, the job descriptions, resume summaries and answers you share are processed only to generate your response and are not stored or used for training.
